CPH Partners with ECLIPSE Sri Lanka Project for Intervention Evaluation
CPH is excited to announce our partnership with the ECLIPSE Sri Lanka project to engage in the evaluation of their intervention efforts. ECLIPSE (Empowering People with Cutaneous Leishmaniasis: Intervention Programme to Improve Patient Journey and Reduce Stigma via Community Education) is a cross-cultural, applied health programme funded by the UK’s National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
The programme aims to improve the physical and mental health outcomes of people with cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) and empower affected communities in Brazil, Ethiopia, and Sri Lanka. Cutaneous leishmaniasis is a skin condition caused by infection with the microscopic parasite Leishmania, resulting in the development of skin lesions that heal slowly and are challenging to treat.
In Sri Lanka, the ECLIPSE team has conducted interventions in Anuradhapura, with CPH serving as the partner for independent intervention evaluation, which was carried out in June 2024.
